MADE IN BUSHWICK!!!
We are proud to finally announce that Zulu Rose is now being completely manufactured in BUSHWICK, Brooklyn.
For the last couple of years, in between globe trotting we have been scouting around the city trying to find places that could do the kind of work that I used to have done in Los Angeles, and help evolve Zulu Rose to meet the needs of the New York market place.
I searched around New York City’s garment district, Queens, and Bronx and found some interesting facilities. But they were all large outfits, and I didn’t see them really making time to work hands on with a boutique company like Zulu Rose to create something new, fresh, and fashion forward. They were more interested in pumping out low-quality, high quantity products. But just when I thought all was lost, and that I would have to work bi-coastal. I made friends with a new production house right under my nose in Bushwick of all places!
What does this mean for Zulu Rose, the Tribe Vibe, and you the end consumer? Two things.
First, Zulu Rose price points will come down. We were spending way too much money working out of LA and back to NY and back to LA and back to NY and back to LA. You get the drift. So, we are pleased to announce that the overall price of Zulu Rose will come down quite a bit, and the quality will actually step up.
Secondly, working hands on with my people in Bushwick is going to open up the dimensional appeal of our products considerably.
Finally, now that I have finished up doing some freelance work for other labels, I can fianlly get back to my baby! It’s time to get SERIOUS!
